The first DAFs all used air-cooled twin cylinder engines. The basic design of this engine remained in
use from the beginning to the end. Many thousands of these little cars and vans used to be a familiar site, especially the DAF 33 and DAF 44. The bodyshell of the 33 was slightly modified over the years from the original DAF 600/750. The 44 and 46 (along with the water-cooled 55 and 66s) were designed by Michelotti. |
